This week in Ashgrove

Together, Queensland’s public sector union, has been working in Ashgrove for real change – for a government that respects and values all Queenslanders and the work they do. We are targeting Ashgrove because of the long and growing list of Campbell Newman’s broken promises to his electorate and to all of Queensland.

Together, Queensland’s public sector union, has been working in Ashgrove for real change – for a government that respects and values all Queenslanders and the work they do. We are targeting Ashgrove because of the long and growing list of Campbell Newman’s broken promises to his electorate and to all of Queensland. Broken promises that have cost all of us.

Which of Campbell Newman’s promises are you most angry about?

Share your story with Mr Newman’s constituents! Together is doorknocking in Ashgrove on Saturday the 8th of November!

We have launched our new TV commercial (see it now), come and talk to people in Campbell Newman’s backyard about how his broken promises have affected you, your family, your friends, your neighbours and your state. Now is a great time to get involved, and make use of the momentum we have built on the ground in Ashgrove over the last months. It's also an opportunity for us to try new things. It’s a great time to get involved!

When: Saturday 8th November, 1pm

Where: Meet at Dorrington Park, Ashgrove (click to see map) for a briefing and snack – and to collect our material

How: We will work in teams, experienced doorknockers with beginners

How long: About 1-2 hours. We will head off at about 1:45pm then will meet back at Dorrington Park at 3:15pm for a debrief and chat before heading home

If you have never been doorknocking before, it can be a very rewarding experience, offering a unique chance to talk to people about why Campbell Newman’s broken promises have hurt our community so much. And new volunteers are always paired with experienced doorknockers so you can enjoy the experience.

We are holding doorknocking training so you can talk to experienced doorknockers and see how satisfying and fun doorknocking can be, to have a practice, meet other doorknockers, and ask us any questions you may have. There are two alternative doorknocking training venues and times to suit:
