NAIDOC Week Action

Aunties, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews and Friends,

It’s NAIDOC week - a time to celebrate our history, cultures, achievements and survival.  It is a time for the broader community to connect with us and share in our celebrations and work in partnership for positive change and a better future.  It is also an opportunity to highlight the challenges we face, including cuts to programs that assist our Mob here in Queensland.

A Purpose Statement has been developed which defines a broad vision for Working for Queenslanders, and it includes a commitment to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It is essential we are a strong voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as we grow our community campaign for a better Queensland.

You can see the document and comment here. Check it out and comment below or send feedback to team@workingforqueenslanders.org.au

Thank you so much for all the deadly work you Mob do in our Communities.  We would like to encourage everybody to have your say during this endorsement process for the Working for Queenslanders Purpose Statement and to be part of NAIDOC week activities.  Together are hosting stalls at various NAIDOC events this week and continuing on with the Reconcialation Action Plan.
