Did you catch the news this week?

Adani has put the brakes on its new mega mine for Queensland. A mine that grows more and more unviable and unsustainable by the day. The company itself is claiming that they are just taking stock while they await approvals and then the financing will come. However, experts have said that the project is ‘dead in the water’ and every day we hear from community groups taking action against this irresponsible project that is threatening our Great Barrier Reef.

A Bill Of Rights for Queensland is in the news, but there’s more to do. Already thousands of you signed, shared and lead the discussion for rights in Queensland over the past few weeks.

It’s great news to see politicians talking a bill of rights, and how this is progressing, but as you can see from this news there is more work to be done to make sure every politician in Queensland understands just what is at stake and why getting moving on this matters to all of us – for the rights we all have.

Over the weekend, we were out with supporters in key areas having conversations about jobs, services and stopping Campbell Newman's asset sales. Conversations for change, conversations that will reverberate.
