You are out and about and you are making change. The government is feeling the pressure, they are ramping up their spending of taxpayer money on ads, misleading parliament on fair pay, and doubling down on their lies.
Queenslanders know there is a better way. A better way that starts with you. Connecting and sharing your stories about what's really at stake ahead of the next election is how we begin.
RSVP for one or both of the below activities.
Activity 1 - Mansfield
Doorknocking for approximately an hour and a half (or as long as you can).
When: Saturday 6th December 1:30pm
Where: Meet at BrushBox Park, 142 Lumley St (Corner Lumley and Wemvern Sts), Upper Mt Gravatt, MAP.
Activity 2 - Mount Coot-tha
Doorknocking for approximately an hour and a half (or as long as you can).
When: Sunday 7 December 10:30am
Where: Bowman Park, 247 Simpsons Rd, Bardon, MAP
How: We will work in teams, experienced doorknockers with beginners. It's an opportunity for you to talk to the people who really matter, other people just like you, who want good well paid jobs, quality services and a government that keeps its promises.
How long: We'll catch up first for a briefing, a snack and hear from other people about why they are out and about. Then we'll head out doorknocking for around one and a half hours. We will meet back after that for a debrief and chat before heading home.
If you have never been doorknocking before, it can be a very rewarding experience, offering a unique chance to talk to people about why Campbell Newman’s broken promises have hurt our community so much. In November we had many new doorknockers who gave positive feedback about just how rewarding an experience it was.
And new volunteers are always paired with experienced doorknockers so you can enjoy the experience.
Come along. Help out by doorknocking for change.
